Challenge #157 - CHAT NOIR

Welcome to our newest Poobah -
the wonderful

Chat Noir

Mme. Noir has been a Poobah follower since the very start
and we've loved her style all along.

So, in honor of her joining our merry band as a DT member,
we are making a challenge entitled

CHAT NOIR

Encouraging you to create using BLACK or CAT
Or Black AND Cat, entirely up to you!

Just get your crafty on
and then share your creations with us!

Let's see what everyone has been up to, shall we?

Chat Noir here - so honoured to be a part of the glorious
Opus Gluei, and still a bit flabbergasted at being asked to join.
Who'd have thought it?
And I've also been favoured with a Challenge that's right up my street
(well, Avenue really, but since its in Melbourne
I don't suppose I'm going to be inundated with callers)
(but you're welcome)....BLACK!!
Hooray, after all those colours in the recent posts.

I have made some ATCs, which are my very
favourite things, until I get around to trying inchies...
.Black seems to go with everything, but for me
it sings best with silver and red or white.
I've used a variety of things from
the bottom of the busy-room drawers and I hope you're inspired
to try your hand at this lovely mysterious and romantic part of the spectrum."

Rosemary here, please ignore that my photograph might make you hungry for candy corn.  This was unintentional.  LOL  I'm inspired by Chat Noir's clean and simple style, she makes her projects look so classy and elegant and I love that.  My card here is anything but classy and elegant, but I do think it is clean and simple (one layer only) with lots of color and a bit of whimsy!  I thought this was fun and I hope you do too.

Electra here.  I am thrilled beyond belief to have Chat Noir join our Poobah-roster.  I was inspired to create something with a Chat Noir in it, I know, not terribly creative, but it seemed so simple, what can I say?  As for the actual piece, and the thinking behind it?  Don't ask me. Credits can be found on my blog.

Deena here:

my project is a bit of a stretch to classify as "black" - however to welcome Chat Noir to our team, I did purchase (and use) a super fancy dancy sparkly and shiny piece of gorgeous black cardstock to make this scrapbook page....can't wait for the craft lounge to be finished so I can get back into my supply stock, but the end is near and the beginning is almost here (next week construction begins)...wahoozle!!!

Jana here: I am thrilled to have Chat Noir as part of our glorious team. Here's a little tribute to welcome her to the fold:

156 - Bouquet for You

This time around we are asking for a BOUQUET. Make something with flowers. It's just that simple. Use flowers somewhere in your project.

Deena here: With spring here (supposedly - but not so much if you live by me) and mother's day around the corner, flowers come to mind...all kinds...I needed some sympathy cards and I found these calla lillies at my local dollarama...I thought they would look great on a card and I love the way they turned out!

Electra here:  I have a good friend who is celebrating a birthday this month.  I thought flowers would be perfect for her card, cus she is a flowery kind of lady.  I hope she likes it!

Rosemary here and I was playing with stamps and ink and embossing powder (oh my) and made a card of encouragement and a tag.

Jana here: I am sending flowers to Boston. The Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild has made a call for flags that will be on display in Boston sometime this summer. You can read more about it here. I made this little bird to fly up to offer my support. And I just now noticed that the butterflies are made out of flowers too. Love when things work out this way.
(Bird is the front and the butterflies are the back.)
